This "real deal" physical album comes from a lover of art who has decorated the music therein. The art featured in the Brothington Album Booklet is a unique accompaniment to the album and was conceived, designed and created by the musician (Kyle Brothers). The 12 page booklet, clear jewel case, inserts, and semi gloss disc face embody the fruits of a labour of love, in photos, slick digital art and complete lyrics, so you can sing along and ponder the inner workings of this dually, mad artist/musician.

about

We was just about to leave for the two and a half hour drive to Sydney to visit my brother's family and I was doing a final procrastination noodling away on the guitar as the lady folk fluttered around. From my guitar came the the first few notes of the intro to Rum Tum Tum. I couldn't put it down and pleaded to defer driving duties to my wife Heidi, so I could cement the melody in my mind. It is here unchanged from that day but embellished with a longer introduction. Unusual to note that it's probably the only song I've written from a lead melody, rather than from strumming chords and muttering away to the vibe. The lyrical ideas are a work of fiction, not about my life.

lyrics

8. R U M T U M T U M
Hidden deep in a valley Is the place that we used to know Where the best of times scored a tally We had space to spread and grow At the end of a road in a valley Were the friends that we used to know They were Johnny, Jean, Tim and Sally Are the faces that we’d known Ay ay ay ay ay x2 Chorus: Rum tum tum I’ve got rum in my tum Diddle aye diddle oh To the valley I’ll go Diddle aye diddle oh To the valley I’ll go (Repeat) Hidden deep in that valley Emerged the seeds that we had sewn By the riverside flooded gully Where all of the time was our own I remember back to the valley How I ever was there I don’t know And as I sip on rum in the alley I remember that sweet ebb and flow I gotta go Ay ay ay ay ay x2 (Repeat chorus twice)

I hope that there will be many more albums to follow as I'm writing all the time. ... more
