This "real deal" physical album comes from a lover of art who has decorated the music therein. The art featured in the Brothington Album Booklet is a unique accompaniment to the album and was conceived, designed and created by the musician (Kyle Brothers). The 12 page booklet, clear jewel case, inserts, and semi gloss disc face embody the fruits of a labour of love, in photos, slick digital art and complete lyrics, so you can sing along and ponder the inner workings of this dually, mad artist/musician.

This song wasn't a week old when we recorded it. My producer Dion and I were immediately besotted by it and it inspired Dion's lilting solo that floats masterfully through it. The lyrics were written with fairly abstract intent and just the basic thought for cohesion between lines. A poetic one, it didn't occur to me until much later that it fit my current state of mind scarily well. Specifically just how that applies to me I will leave unsaid, except to say that mid life is upon me. A personal piece.

Plant the seedlings in the ground And in the breeze they’re pulled down I settled down by the
dryest lake And the seasons they take And the seasons they take Movin’ in cirlces around Dappled shade in the foreground And it goes on like I say And I’m bound for a day like I say Dust fallin’ down Dust all around Pound for a pound Heed any sound Wavy roof tap down Moisten Jill’s frown Coz dust broke my crown In pale saffron grass lays a wooden door And I’m floating somewhere above the law This enterprise is so unsafe If I walk through will I go away And if I enter will I have to stay Look for my memory in the lost and found And all of my days scattered all around And it goes on like I say And I’m bound for a day like I say Dust fallin’ down Dust all around Pound for a pound Heed any sound x3 I’ll twist around Seasons lay down In broken ground And dust took my crown

I am an musician, artist and a teacher, specialising in teaching children to play guitar. I am based near Canberra, ACT, Australia and this is my debut release. At 17 I learned to play, becoming a songwriter when practice eventually became exploration. My music fits mostly within the Folk genre with many influences. I hope that there will be many more albums to follow as I'm writing all the time. ... more
