This "real deal" physical album comes from a lover of art who has decorated the music therein. The art featured in the Brothington Album Booklet is a unique accompaniment to the album and was conceived, designed and created by the musician (Kyle Brothers). The 12 page booklet, clear jewel case, inserts, and semi gloss disc face embody the fruits of a labour of love, in photos, slick digital art and complete lyrics, so you can sing along and ponder the inner workings of this dually, mad artist/musician.

about

This was one of the first tracks I recorded on the album. It was great to build its concept through different effects and sounds on subsequent visits to Templemore Studio.

lyrics

1. B E A C O N S O F L I G H T
The week through to Friday just flies And the Sunday reveals all the lies We laugh we cry don’t know why We dance we fall by the wayside Won’t you tell me why? I’m here hanging high and dry This line won’t keep running along Every system’s down eventually And we’re born of a sequence and leave only lesions in time, line, find, grind Sail into these winds and leave only beacons of light Leave all your memories to die As the notions they sweep ‘cross the sky We break we crack all the time While we talk of needing and desire Won’t you tell me why? I’m here hanging high and dry The patterns are shapeless ideals ‘Cause this life isn’t ninety degrees And we’re born of a sequence and leave only lesions in time, line, find, grind Sail into these winds and leave only beacons of light Should we pick up the slack of the trite? Or leave all the blind to find sight? We walk and it feels like razor wire Beat down we call for a cease fire Won’t you tell me why? I’m here hanging high and dry Now if I ever landed a deal Then I’d handle it with alacrity But I’m still born of a sequence and I’ll leave only lesions in time, line, find, grind Try to sail into these winds and leave only beacons of light
